A: We have no more than 30 students in each classroom.
Q: Are teachers at Berean certified to teach in Arizona?
A: All of our teachers are either Certified or Highly Qualified according to State regulations.
Q: Do the teachers each have an aide in the classroom?
A: Grades K-3 have an aide in each classroom. Other classes have an aide as required.
Q: Can I opt for my student to bring a lunch from home on some days and eat school prepared meals on other days?
A: Yes, a student may participate in the school lunch program and may bring a lunch from home as desired.
Q: What are the school's policies on discipline?
A: Our teachers are trained in the Love & Logic ® approach to discipline allowing children to grow from their mistakes and to be responsible for the consequences of their choices.
Q: Do the students participate in AIMS testing? What are the average scores per year?
A: We participate in the AIMS testing and scores vary from year to year on state reports (ADE).
Q: Do all the teachers have fingerprint cards?
A: All of our teachers must have a valid fingerprint card on file with the school.
Q: What is the school's policy on parental involvement and volunteering?
A: Parents may volunteer in the classroom but must check in at the school office before doing so.
Q: When students excel academically, how are they challenged to continue to excel?
A: Elementary students may receive more challenging work to enhance their learning ability. High School students are encouraged to register and enroll in classes at Cochise College.
Q: Are the PTO meetings private or can any parent attend?
A: The PTO meetings are open meetings and parents are encouraged to participate to have a voice in the school and to enhance their child's educational experience.
